St. Landry-Evangeline United Way is "adopting" the United Way of Haywood County in Waynesville, North Carolina, a small United Way with an enormous challenge ahead. It will take weeks, months and even years to restore and rebuild homes and businesses; schools and infrastructure. As hard hit families struggle their way out of the destruction, we can count ourselves fortunate that we are in a position to assist.
